General
1. The dog has to wear an identification tag at all time while the visit.
2. We prefer to walk a dog with a not retractable leash and also prefer a harness. If you don’t have not retractable leashes, we carry our leashes.
3. We are closed on Federal Holidays. If the client needs our services, they need to book with at least 5 days in advanced to check availability. Service on holidays will incur an additional $10 fee.
4. Normally, in extreme weather conditions when schools and Federal Government closed their establishment, we also closed our office.
5. If the client is on vacation, and we are taking care of your pet(s), the minimum visits must be 3 times a day. This is a professional industry standard, as anything could happen when pets are left alone for an extended period of time. From potentially lethal ailments like an urethral blockage to potential home damages.
6. When the client is on vacation, we don’t share pet-sitting visits with clients’ family members, friends, or other caretakers. We want you to be comfortable with the amount of care and attention your pet is receiving. Also, we have found that sharing visits have unintended consequences. However, if both client and Arlington Pet Pals accept share visits voids the pet-sitter insurance and liability.
7. If the Pet Sitter would find any Pet’s accident inside home, we will clean (as courtesy, not as part of the job) the best we can. But if the pet has stomach issues (such as diarrhea or vomiting) we are going to notified the owner but most probably will find not 100% clean. Also, we need to know where the cleaning products are located.
8. If the owner would like the Pet Sitter gives treats, food, etc. They need to leave reachable to the Pet Sitter. Otherwise, we won’t give anything or won’t look inside the cabinets or others storage.
